Winegrower Cathy Corison produces artisanal, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon that speaks of place, sourcing great benchland vineyards between Rutherford and St. Helena. We invite you to experience a truly unique glimpse inside a small, family-owned working winery the next time you are in the Napa Valley.
Winter has settled in and we finally received our first hard frost. Early rains have encouraged the lush cover crop to fill the rows between the dormant vines – a sure sign that the days are getting longer!
In the cellar we are finalizing the 2016 blend for bottling next summer, and the 2017’s will get their first racking. Come visit for a taste of our inaugural 2014 Corison Sunbasket Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. The Napa Valley is at its most peaceful.
Celebrate with Sunbasket Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, our new vineyard-designate! This single-vineyard Cabernet displays the characteristic bright cherries Cathy expects from this vineyard, joined by rich raspberry and cassis nuance. Supple, velvety tannins, stony minerality, and hints of baking spices and anise round out the juicy flavors. Exuberant floral notes of violets and dried roses jump out of the glass, dancing with the fruit. With nearly two years in the bottle, this wine is in its first, fruit-driven peak.
This offer contains one bottle each of the 2014 Corison Sunbasket Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2015 Corazón Gewürztraminer. Inspired by the wines of Alsace, which feature aromatic Germanic white varieties and French winemaking sensibilities, the Gewürztramier is totally dry and fresh. It cries out for food.
We are honored that our 2013 Corison Kronos Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has been named one of International Wine Report's Top 100 Wines of 2017!
