Kronos Vineyard Cabernets are unique for their intensity of dark, brooding plum, cassis and blackberry fruit, floral notes on the nose and a wonderful broad, silky feel in the mouth.  Severe crop thinning at veraison in 1998 brought the maturity in the vineyard into a narrow range allowing us to pick at optimum, uniform ripeness.  The ripening season was long and cool allowing great complexity to develop.  The 1998 has delightfully layered earthy, chocolate, anise, coffee and tar notes to complement its juicy fruit flavors for a remarkably complex wine.       ~ Cathy Corison

"Worthy Splurge
: Cathy Corison Napa Valley Kronos Cabernet Sauvignon 1998.  A bad vintage?  Try this well-aged specimen and see if you don't think some beautiful Napa cabernets were made that year."    The 12 Best Restaurants in New York for Wine, Eric Asimov, October 8, 2013
